Duna-Drava Cement operates on the Hungarian cement market through two plants – Vac and Beremend – producing various types of cement. Located near the Hungarian capital of Budapest, by the river Danube, the Vac plant is distinguished by its long tradition and also by the quality of its limestone resources, rated the purest in the country. Beremend plant has nearly a century long tradition. The plant has now a capacity of 1.1 million tons. Heidelberg Cement has invested significantly in modernization and improvement at both plants, beginning with new kiln technology in Vac, representing the highest technical standards in Hungary and bringing major improvements in environmental protection. Duna-Drava Cement is the leader on the Hungarian building materials market.
Ready mixed concrete activities in Hungary are carried out by TBG Hungaria, a company owned by Duna-Drava Cement. At present, TBG Hungaria operates 38 ready mixed concrete plants.
HeidelbergCement operates seven aggregates plants in the vicinity of Budapest. Our company Dunai Kavicsüzemek is in the ownership of Duna-Drava Cement and TBG Hungaria.
