Plants

Ceskomoravsky cement has two production plants, located in Prague-Radotin and in the town of Mokra near Brno. The production in the Kraluv Dvur plant has been temporarily cut off at the beginning of 2003, retaining, however, a modern packing line and a dispatch and shipping department. The premises of the Kraluv Dvur plant also host the company’s headquarters and offices of some of its administrative units, as well as of other companies in the group.

Since the early 1990’s, the Radotin and Mokra plants have undergone extensive modernization, bringing the equipment up to date with today’s world standards. The entire production process, from limestone mining to cement dispatch, is operated and controlled from a single control center, while a new, fully automated lab constantly monitors the quality of the cement produced. Both plants utilize advanced technologies, ensuring effective and environment-friendly production.

Further modernization of the production plants will focus especially on expanding the use of alternative materials and fuels. Ceskomoravský cement systematically endeavors to enforce economic and preventive measures in the field of energy and raw materials consumption, as well as waste production and disposal. These measures will be carried out primarily by increasing the effectiveness of the plants processes, or by the substitution of natural fuels and raw materials for alternative raw materials or fuels wherever possible. Using alternative fuels and materials is very important since it allows preserving unrenewable natural resources worldwide.

The ongoing process of plant modernization aims at implementing the cutting-edge technologies and technical solutions, so as to improve further the process effectiveness and environmental protection.
